JP - Rick Perry vs. Tom Welch

We are torn between Rick Perry and Tom Welch. I think I like Rick Perry more and FI likes Tom Welch. I really like that Rick seemed so organized and really wanted to incorporate a lot of personal things into the ceremony. I also liked Tom Welch, but he seemed slightly more generic to me. I know both are highly recommended. Has anyone met with both? Did you pick one over the other? Why?

We did!  We picked Rick Perry over Tom Welch. It was a tough decision because we liked them both, but ended up picking Rick Perry because he seems to offer more personalized wedding options and had more ideas on how to do so.

My FI and I chose to go with Rick Perry... I'm not sure how helpful this will be because he is actually the only JP we talked to, but he was really nice and we heard so many good recs about him. He was also very helpful in choosing our florist!

I really like that he can personalize the wedding but I wasn't about to write my own vows and so he really seems to be able to hold that balance!

Tom Welch was already booked so we didn't meet with him, but we met with one other JP and Rick Perry and chose Rick.  We really liked him and felt that he was very personable and knew what he was doing!  He also seemed genuinely interested in us as a couple and what we wanted for our ceremony, which was important to us.   Good luck choosing!

I can't comment on Rick Perry, but we used Tom Welch and could not have been happier.  We got many compliments about him from our family and friends and how beautiful they thought our ceremony was.  I never got the feeling that Tom wouldn't let us personalize our ceremony.  He actually asked us how we envisioned it, what we wanted to do, etc. and I definitely feel like he represented us very well. HTH!
