I didn't attend a wedding reception, but I did attend a City of Boston event there.  It was beautiful and very unique.  I don't know anything about pricing and what not, but I know that as a guest, it was very fun and awe inspiring.

I had heard that if you want the reception inside with the tanks, that they have restrictions on noise (music),  But if you have it outside on their patio it is more flexible.  I would just make sure that you ask about it.

I think it would be neat!

Yes, they have noise restrictions.  And the inside is small...  I have only seen cocktail receptions there.  I attended an event on the patio, and it's basically a tent over a cement parking lot.  You would need to invest some $$ to jazz it up.  But still, a very cool venue.  A similar option is the Museum of Science.  They have larger rooms to support weddings.
