Am I a Mrs.?

I am writing my professional blurb for my company's website and marketing materials and have to refer to myself in the formal. I've taken my husband's last name...should I refer to myself as Mrs B or Ms B?

I'm not really a Ms. anymore, definitely a Mrs, but Mrs doesn't sound as professional to me? Is that a weird misconception? I dont know what to do! Knotties advise...

I think it is just your choice.  I don't think Mrs. sounds unprofessional.  I'm generally referred to as Ms. Penny by others (which is fine by me), but I call myself Mrs. Penny.

Ms. is just neutral, so I think people are always Ms., whether or not they're married.

I agree, I think Ms. is the more professional way of addressing yourself.  Technically you're both a Mrs. and Ms. since I think Ms. can be used interchangeably, either with a married woman who didn't take her husband's last name or just someone who doesn't want to broadcast their marital status.  Ms is kind of like Mr in that way.  I would just go with whichever you feel more comfortable with or think sounds better.  HTH!

I agree, I think you can go with either as PP said, Ms. And Mrs. both apply.  If you are comfortable with Mrs. then go with it!  It doesn't sound unprofessional at all.  But it's all about your what you are comfortable with- either works.

and just a side note...do you think your co-workers would say anything if you put Ms. instead of Mrs. (knowing you just got married and took your husbands last name).  Just something to add

I actually get a kick out of being a Mrs. Since I am young people always call me Miss and depending on the annoying-ness I like to say "Mrs!" with a little glare in my voice

All good opinions! I went with Ms....I really love the Mrs, and I rarely get a chance to use it, so part of me wanted to...but none of my coworkers are written as Mrs, even if they are married, so I figured I would go with the status quo.

Sounds like a good choice if that's what the others in your office are using... I personally prefer the Mrs!
