Tip: Local Place to Have Dress Cleaned/Pressed

I brought my silk taffeta (notoriously difficult to clean) wedding gown to Wal-Lex Cleaners in Waltham (same plaza as TJMaxx) to be cleaned after our Rock the Frock where it got very dirty (dirt/sand/mud/sweat on it).  I had them clean & press it, although they also offer "preservation" services (basically they box it up for you in an acid-free box).  It came back clean, beautifully pressed, on a hanger with a cardboard bust form to hold its shape.  I throughly examined it for stains, and it appears to have come back clean!  There is possibly some slight discoloration at the very very bottom at the hem line, although after a week of looking at it under different light, I can't tell if it's stained, or if the color just looks off because the fabric is thicker there where it's rolled up at the hem.  Hmmmm.... In any case, I am happy with how it came out.  It cost $135 and took about 3 weeks (they said it would be 2-4 weeks).  It is the same price if you choose the preservation box instead of having it hung & pressed.  I know lots of girls are always looking for local places for this, so I wanted to share my good experience.
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)
