Nashawtuc Country Club - anyone else?

Just curious if anyone has booked or has been to a wedding here? We have booked this venue for our reception, since it is not too far from the ceremony site (church), and it came highly recommended by my FI aunt, whose work has functions there all the time. The grounds looked very nice (well, it *is* a country club) and I loved the cockail room.

My mom was a bit concerned with the room itself looking kind of plain, though I think with the right linens, flowers, and decor, it will look beautiful.

I hope I'm right!!!   ;)

    We went to a wedding here years ago and I loved it!  It was a beautiful venue!   Especially the room they had the cocktail hour in and I think there was a patio as well.  The banquet room is a little plain, but like you said you can totally dress it up with linens and centerpieces.  Food was fabulous!

    We also booked Nashawtuc Country Club for our venue.  I thought it was very reasonable in comparison to other Country Clubs in the area.  I love the porch and cocktail room as well.  I do think the reception room is a little boring, but I agree that the flowers and linens will dress it up.  I love the large dance floor in the center of the room.  We are very excited and proud of our find.
