What to expect for price for renting linens and other tableware?

I got such great advice of venues from my other post and have continued searching for some venues and now I have a few tours scheduled!

One thing I am still unsure of is price for linens and other tableware like dishes and silverware and the tablecloth, glasses, all that stuff... what could I expect per table or each piece for something like that? I really have no idea what in the world it could be, I don't know if it's something that depends on the area you're from but figured i'd post it in this forum just in case that matters.

It looks like we'd be renting these things through the caterer for a couple of these places and I'm just trying to figure out what to expect.

Thanks for any help!

Look at petersons party center in winchester. their site should give you a good guide. that's who we use at my college, and they're competitive in their prices. there's a place in needham, ma that does rentals for linens too, but the name escapes me right now.
my wedding is in new hampshire, and for our linens, it's $12 per table cloth.

That's perfect! Thanks so much for that name (petersons), now I finally have an idea of what this could be... they have a huge list on their site, very helpful!
    Thanks again!

Another place you should check is Linens by Alice. If you Google that, you should be able to get the email/phone. Their prices are very competitive.

I would check out this site: http://www.linentablecloth.com/

If you can catch them on sale, it's amazingly well-priced. I bought my linens on black Friday for much less that I'd ever have spent on rentals. They are very nice and I can't wait to see it all set up. My venue sets things up for us though, so that takes the huge set up part out for us.

What color are you looking for and when is your wedding?

Thank you again for all of this info!
We ended up picking a place (have not secured the date yet though) and they include everything-- opposed to a few choices in mind that do not which prompted me to ask this question!
I had done the math over and over of possibilities especially from that petersons site, and it came to be so much after the place and food. I think that it would have been a great opportunity to really select each and every piece, but I think this venue that includes everything might be better for us in the end. Now just looking for dj/photog!

I'm not sure on price comparisons  from other vendors, but we're using Simply elegant Linens.

For chair covers and sashes (and also incl. the set up and break down fee) they charge $4.95 per person (chair) and table cloth linens run @ $12-15 each.

We're doing our wedding of around 150 people for @ $1200 (I also had to add in floor length white linens, in addition to the overlays, because my venue doesn't have floor length linene...Boo!)

  • I would recommend http://www.tablelinensforless.com
We got all of our wedding table linens there - they had some great specials, maybe they currently have specials?
