Newton marriot or beechwood hotel

Has anyone had any experience with weddings at either the newton Marriott or the beechwood hotel in Worcester? What are your thoughts??

We had our reception at the Newton Marriott and had a great experience. The people were great to work with and the food was very good. We loved how the package included so much (centerpieces, limo, cake, chivari chairs) so we didn't have a lot to worry about. The ballroom itself is just like any other hotel ballroom, but our cocktail hour was in the foyer overlooking the Charles River and the bridal party had a separate cocktail hour outside. There was a quinceanera next door at the same time and at times we could hear some of their music, which was the only issue.

We really liked the Newton Marriott but they didn't end up having our date available. What we really loved was the option of having the ceremony outdoors on the banks of the Charles.

The venues are over an hour away... where are you planning on having your ceremony? One must be more convenient for your guests.

We are looking to have our ceremony and reception at the same place. We live pretty much equidistant to both. the newton Marriott definitely includes more in their package which is great and has the option for the outdoor ceremony, but I don't love the backup ceremony plan in a conference room. The beechwood has a beautiful chapel off of the ballroom for the ceremony, but you don't get as much for your money with their package. Decisions decisions! Where did you end up having yours??

My parents got married at the Beechwood (well dad and step mother) not too long ago and it was amazing! I actually had them down as my #1 choice to get married at. The Chapel and Ballroom are amazing and the hotel itself is beautiful.You can definitely negotiate additions to their contract! The only reason that I am not getting married there is because our new venue was gifted to us by the owner... couldn't pass up a free venue I also like the Beechwood hotel because it is close to so many good restaurants... which helps when thinking about your out-of-town guests and places to have your rehearsal dinner at.
