HELP! North Shore Bride looking for venue!

I thought I had the venue all planned out. I wanted The New England Aquarium and I love it and still have my heart set on it but I need to keep an open mind and look at other venues. I wasn't overwhelmed until now. I have to keep it under $5k... Is that even possible? She's thinking ceremony outside and reception at a hall. I'm thinking....aquarium aquarium aquarium lol. We live in Danvers so I'm looking in this area. I want to be able to bring in food also.

Groveland Fairways is beautiful. You can get married outside and reception inside. Also rental is no more then 2000 tops including ceremony. They do also give you choice of caterers and you may be able to bring in your own as an approved vendor.

I second Groveland Fairways.  It is such a great place, and I love the wedding coordinator.  I would definitely contact them and the wedding coordinator, Liz, is awesome!

The Elks on the bass rocks in Gloucester is reasonable in price. You can bring your own caterer and it over looks the ocean. Very pretty the area outside for ceremony has an ocean view and you have the indoor space for reception. Also nights of Columbus in Nahant might have a nice view. I know the one in Lynn is $595 to rent I'm not sure about the one in Nahant. Periwinkles is beautiful but I think it only holds 75 people. Waterfront hotel in Salem is fairly new great packages and is next to the water for a magical feel. Rockerfellas is Salem just open up a beautiful function room upstairs and they are extremely reasonable right now. Good luck!

you should check out the Wedding show tomorrow in Needham... I am going particulaly to talk to representatives of venues.. Just a thought..

People have mentioned the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield before and that's near you. I think it's really pretty. Not sure if it's the vibe you want and no idea about brining your own catering in.

Not sure if this is too far for you, but the Camridge Cultural Center might let you bring in your own caterer and I think it has an outdoor space.

Nahant Country club is Very Reasonable that's where im getting married, Theres also a few other places  iin nahant on the water. These are other places we considered and looked at were Groveland fairways, Smith barn in peabody,Winthrop yacht club in winthrop,Ma its right on the water and you get a great view of boston Skyline.
