I enjoy what I do... which is working with children. But I would LOVE to have my own classroom... preferably first or second grade. Hopefully someday!

I actually teach First Grade! I LOVE, nope, I ADORE my job. I get to walk into a room with 22 smiling faces everyday and teach them how to read and write and expose them to new cultures and ideas. The puppets, songs, books and hugs are pretty awesome too. :)

ok jonnys that sounds awesome!! I loved being a camp counselor and I totally respect people who do what you do full time. it is really so important...

I am a claims adjuster and its NOT what I want to do.

I want to be an investigator a la the Wire :D

I work in finance.  I certainly don't love what I do, but I don't hate it.  I always thought I would do something more rewarding.  Maybe some day.

I'm right there with you Meaghan... I would love to have Beantown's job.  Maybe some day!

Mandah, did you see where the Wire got voted by time as the best show of the decade? I definitely need to get into it.

I don't love working in a billing office, but it pays the bills right now and provides insurance.

I am happiest when I walk into the school and, like jonnysbride said, see all those smiling faces and be able to be such a big part of their lives. I am hoping, praying that I get a full time teaching job in the fall!

At times I love teaching high school.

I love the interaction I have with my super smart colleagues i love working with teens and that at times I help guide teenagers during their not so great years, and I especially love learning. I also love love love teaching something that they've never learned before and are actually interested in.

But I HATE grading and all of the paper work. It really it's my downfall. If the paper work kills me I'd love to get into non-profit work at a Jewish agency.

Really, Meaghan? Cuz I think your job sounds SO fun! If you think dragging a screaming toddler through the supermarket while he is throwing juice on me and I am cleaning up the cans of tuna he knocked over is fun, then please come babysit for the day!

Seriously though, of course I love my job. I am very lucky to be able to stay home with him.

I've always wanted to be a mom which is probably why we started our family so young. I just couldn't wait!

Do I love what I do? Hmmm.. not really. It pays the bills, but it's not what I'd want to do til I retire.

I would love to go back to school for marketing... specifically global marketing.

Meaghan - I had NO idea. But it is like one of my favorite shows ever. And it's exactly what I want to do!!! FI loves the show to, just doesn't love that I want to do that! haha

While I love what I do, I don't love my current position.  I have horrible hours (some days 8:30-11:30 then unpaid until my 3:30-6:30, and SATURDAYS!) but I am hoping to stick through it as its one of the few jobs where I could go to part time and still get promotions.

I do enjoy what I do, I work as a Donor Coordinator for unrelated and related bone marrow/ stem cell transplants at Dana-Farber. If I could move the whole place alot closer to me I would be so much happier but it is really a wonderful place to work! The commute is a bit much (3 hours round-trip) but have been doing it for 3 years now.

My dream would be to work no more than 30 hours a week and have long weekends! I really have the job I think I was meant for already.

I like my job. It's hard, and there is so much to learn that it will take me forever to become an expert at it.

I want Beantown's job in the worst way though. Unfortunately, I will probably have to work when DH and I have kids. If one of us stays home, it will probably be DH.  :-( Sadness.

I like my job a lot.  I've always been a math person and a people person, and there aren't many jobs where you can combine both.  I also really genuinely like the people I work with and I have a good work-life balance right now.  Obviously I want to move up the ladder and make more money though, and maybe move to a different area of finance when I get bored.

Not sure if I would want Beantown's job.  I think staying home with kids is the best thing, but I'm not sure I'm cut out for it.  Maybe if I had other friends who were staying home but I feel like I would get a little lonely if I didn't see people daily.  I'm hoping to work something out where I can work from home a couple days a week (which is what my manager does).  FI is a physical therapist so he can probably work opposite days or we can get a nanny a few days a week.

I like my job although most times, I feel under appreciated.

I'd like to get my masters and I'd feel more secure, even at my current position.

I like what I do, but where I work - that's another story. Is it my dream job? No. But, I have a new dream every week it seems like. In my spare time, I write (really bad) creative fiction novels. Secretly, I'd love to be a published author someday - so that's probably at the top of my list. Everything else I do right now is just to pay the bills.

Beantown, I love you - but I could never do or want your job. Although, every time I'm dusting I think of Little A ;)

I wouldn't work if we didn't need the paycheck, but I do enjoy my job as much as I could enjoy any job I think.

The big perk of my position now that I switched to HR is that I get to work from home which means I sleep in until 9:30 or 10, set my own hours during the day/very flexible, and i'm actually able to run errands/get things done around the house which is priceless. When I was stuck in an office all day, I felt like I could never catch up wtih all of the stuff that needed to be done. Now, when I finish up my tasks, I'm done - SO nice to have that flexibility. Though I am typically still in PJ's until around 4pm which is the one downside ;)

My feelings change fairly frequently - but overall I enjoy my job.  Especially now that we are hiring another person I will get to pretty much run the organization without having to do all the busy scheduling/travel arrangement work.  So that will be nice!  Great cause, really interesting, I learn a lot, flexible - I can work from home sometimes and we work out my vacation time on our own and not through the university so that is really flexible as well.  Only problem is it's not really leading me on a "career path".  It's possible that I could have this job for 4 years if it keeps working out - but I don't think he really expects more than 2.  And I'm not sure where to go from here besides school potentially.  But we'll see!

Of course there are plenty of jobs that would be more fun.  Glee is auditioning/casting soon - that would be a pretty fun job.  I would love to perform and sing for a living.  Working in the music field would be great.

Writing would be fun.  I have always wanted to write a book with my group of friends from high school and maybe a memoir or two.

I would also love to work in the international development field or international human rights field (human trafficking) and possibly teach - but that would require going for my PhD which I would love to do but not sure how that would fit into our overall life plans (kids etc.)

I have too many passions to decide what to do with my life.  That's what it basically comes down to.

I love my job.  I am concerned about the longevity of the industry, but as far as my particular job goes, I love it.  I worked in publishing in NYC before this, and this is definitely a more relaxed and fun environment, and I still get to work with books and writers.

I love the people I work having been there pretty long (7plus years) but I def do not love my job.  I get very frustrated since my job at times can be relient on other areas of our company doing THEIR jobs...and at times they don't.  I hate to throw people under the bus, but I hate to have to overwork because of them, so it can be a hard happy medium to find.

I would LOVE LOVE to teach.  I always have.  I didn't finish college, instead got involved in the business world fairly young.  To change professions for me it would mean me having to go back to college, but the more I think of it, the more sense it makes.  I would love to feel like I am making a difference in the world, instead of a difference in my company's standard ops procedures.

PS - I would LOVE LOVE Beantown's job.  I honeslty use to say "I don't know...when I have kids, I feel like I would stil need to work to just cause".  HELL to the NO now.  I would love to be able to devote as much time as I could to my children instead of someone else.  Beantown - girl you are so fortunate!

My dream  = going back to school PT finishing my degree over the next two-three years and hope for fertility during that time and see what comes....

Who knows, I could win the Megamillions by then...right? ;)

I'm a high school English teacher and love what I do and the adults AND kids I work with.  If I could go back to school and finish my undergraduate degree in musical theater, though, I would.
