Seaport Hotel vs. Millennium Hotel in Boston HELP

We are torn between the Seaport Hotel and the Millennium Hotel in Boston and trying to negotiate with both now.  Does anyone have any feedback on either of these hotels?! My Pros/Cons are as follows:
Seaport pros - beautiful location near up water, high ceiling, outdoor space, comes with up lighting, walls of windows, nice view, good priced guest rooms
Seaport cons - corporate hotel not very flexible with dessert options, more expensive, not a great backup room for cocktail hour if the outside is rained out, also didn't realize or was told about to food/beverage minimum until I received the estimate...

Millennium pros - awesome location in Fan. Hall, great coordinator who seems eager to help us plan within our budget, good priced guest rooms, very flexible with dessert options
Millennium cons -  room has one beam in the center that seems low, no cool lighting/chandelier, no outdoor space

PLEASE HELP!

Seaport. Great outdoor space. City venue without feeling like it is fully in the city. Easy for guests to get to also.
  • Seaport for sure. Great outdoor space. Easy for guests to get to. Venue in the city, but does not totally feel like the city.
  • I vote for Seaport. If your wedding is on a weekend you have to deal with the smells of Haymarket, rotten fruit and fish on that street.

  • Definitely the Seaport!  We had our wedding there and loved everything about it.  I have a full review in my bio if you're interested.  Also, regarding the desserts, not sure what the issue is as there were two places to choose from for cakes when we did it (Montilio's and KM).  I also wanted to have Carvel ice cream cake (my favorite cake!), so they arranged to get a sheet cake from there for us and served it with our Montilio's cake.  They were more than willing to work with us on whatever it was we wanted, from the ceremony room to timing to food.  Plus it's really nice that it's a non-tipping hotel so there are no hidden costs or weird tipping situations.  HTH!
