Invitations rave - Goosefish Press

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share my FABULOUS experience with Robert Charlton at Goosefish Press.

Rob worked with us through every stage of the process. He created a first design for us, and when we realized that it wasn't really what we wanted (turns out pumpkins aren't very elegent after all...) he scrapped the whole thing and helped us find something else entirely.

Rob was very patient as we tried to decide on how to incorporate design and text. He did many, many re-writes and design edits for us, and always did them incredibly quickly. I don't think he ever took over 24 hours to respond to us.

Then he worked with us on color: matching the swatch is easy, of course, but you also need to take into account other text colors, how it looks on the paper, etc. He tweaked according to us until it was JUST RIGHT.

Finally, none of this extra effort resulted in a higher bill at the end of the day. I was shocked!

Our final invitations are simple, elegant, and completely reflective of the tone we want to set. I am so looking forward to sending them out tomorrow - this is a wonderful beginning to the final months of our wedding.

    Just curious about pricing?

I loved his designs but wasn't sure if it would work for our budget.

How far in advance did you get your invitations done?  Did you address them on the computer? by hand?  Have someone do them for you?  (I apologize for my ignorance...but I've never done this wedding thing before!!)  With your invitations, what else did you get--response cards, thank you cards, etc...?
Thanks so much for any info!!  :)

Hi there - sorry about that. It was exactly in the range of what I expected to pay. Not cheap but not outrageous. The whole thing (so invites, response cards, brunch cards etc) came to under $2,000.

This and the fact that ours was in multiple languages so we actually had TWO sets of everything...

Just the invitaitons would have been $800 for 120.
