dress shopping??

where did most of you begin your wedding dress shopping?  I was thinking of starting at David's Bridal b/c they have a large selection and I could get an idea of what I like and don't like, then go from there.....any thoughts, opinions, etc would be much appreciated.  I need to schedule an appt soon..thanks

I started out at David's Bridal in Danvers.  I went there not expecting to find or buy a dress but to get an idea of what I wanted and what I didn't.  I had my appointment at 11am on a Friday.  It seemed to be the perfect time for an appointment, it wasn't busy at all and I did not feel rushed.  I ended up finding my dress that day... it was the 3d dress that I tried on.  If you do go to David's Bridal, I would suggest going first thing in the morning or not on a weekend.  As I live across the country, my mom went in to pick up my dress when it came in.  She said it was Insane on a Saturday.
    Good luck!!

David's Bridal is actually stepping it up these days with the design of their gowns. I dreaded going there when I was shopping, because I thought it was racks of frumpy poof dresses. I looked at their website, and the dresses are actually pretty sweet now! And not budget-busting either.

I went to Precious Memories in Malden. They have a great selection and the prices are even better. A lot of girls on here have gone there too and have had luck.

I went to David's Bridal and found my dress for cheap.  It was the 5th one I tried on.  I went on a Wednesday morning when they opened and surprisingly it was still busy.  Maybe because it was summer, I don't know.  They were a little rude to start with, but then the girl I had helping me was great.

I got mine at Party Dress Express in Fall River. They have a huge selection. Everyone is wonderful and so knowledgable and a lot of dresses come with free alterations. The alterations lady is awesome! I can't say enough about how wonderful they are!!!
