What do you plan to include in your out of town gift bag?  And where do you plan to make these purcahses?

I am getting married in salem.. and I am hoping for a Salem themed bag since we are doing NOTHING else salem themed. So I am getting maps of the local attractions (house of 7 gables, witch museum)... witch chocolate or cookies and something else salem related.

We are also throwing in bottles of water, a note thanking guests for coming and inviting them to brunch, tissues and maybe one or two other small things.

As far as the bottles of water and tissues- we MAY do custom labels which I will likely get on etsy but I plan to buy the water and small tissue packets at like BJs or Costco.

As for the Salem themed... I am asking my venue to help with that!

I plan on putting the basics:
a few bottles of water
some granola bars
packs of gum/mints
deck of cards
may bake some cookies
a homemade pamphlet with local restaurants and directions
take-out menus
area attractions
MBTA schedule (train into Boston)
Maybe some local flavor: cape Cod potato chips, necco wafers
and of course a welcome letter.

Plan on buying the snacks and water in bulk at BJs....haven't decided on the packaging....either some cute gift boxes or reusable bags I found with the Red Sox and Patriots logos on it.
