Skywalk for a venue?

Hello! This is my first post but have been reading the board for MONTHS!
I have my eyes on the Skywalk in Boston. I dont want to do the wedding package they offer.. instead I want to do a buffet. Has anyone done this here before? Is anyone about to? Looking at about 80 people. I am dying to know ideas for the space because it is different! My plan was to reserve one side of the building. There are doors that can seperate the space into two rooms so one will be for cocktail hour and the other into reception room. So is anyone out there that has done your celebration here or is about to? Im a 2012 bride a set month/date is not in place yet!
Thank you ladies!

They do offer a stations menu which I think they call a buffet.  I'm sure that they would be flexible in the meal plan but you would have to ask them.  I'm sure a wedding there would be really awesome.

    Goodluck with planning!!!

I've hosted my corporate holiday party there a few times and it's been a great!  A beautiful venue!  I thnk it's wise to separate the cocktail and dinner hour, so that you don't end up with people all the way on theother side of the building and too spread out during either event, if you know what I mean.  Good thinking.

For my events there, we always did food stations.  They can strategically set them up to keep the flow of the room moving and not let the buffet be just one long table.  I think it could work great!

    Thank you for your replies!
Snakkcakes how IS the food and service? I would like a warm friendly atmosphere and know that some venues in Boston have what I would call a "snooty" attitude if you know what I mean! I will have to visit space but I am out of state planning this and it helps to know someone who has had events there before. I am hoping there is enough room and that there can be a dancefloor (i know it will not be big) and hope the space can also accommodate uplighting.. Snakkcakes or anyone else who has been here for an event if you could clue me in on all this I would be most grateful. Pictures would also be a BIG help!
Sorry I am a little frazzled the venue really is the hardest part. So all the information I can get the better Thank you!!!!
