Photographers list...Questions

My photog asked for a list of must takes. I basically just did the formals (because of step parents and what not) and a few quirky must takes, but I was wondering, do I need to map out ALL of the pictures I want like bridesmaids and bride, groomsmen and groom...etc.? Or will she just know those things?

    if you have a bunch of college friends coming to the wedding our your crazy aunt sue that you just HAVE to have a picture with.. I'd give your photog a list of that too...
    That's always important...
    I have a few extra "fun" ones that I just have to have that i put on a list also!!

    I say it can't hurt to spell out what combos you want. The photog would probably get them anyway, but I'd be bummed if I didn't get a combo I really wanted just because no one thought of it the say of. I think the Knot has a really extensive list you can copy and paste and then tailor to suit your needs.

    My photographer suggested that we make a list of all the combos we want but then give it to someone who knows the people (like MOH or BM) and to have them help get them to do the photos.  It can take a long time to organize large groups of people, so try to think about which combos you really need and keep the list from being too huge.

    Sounds like something you should ask the photographer, and find out if she's flexible regarding pictures you might want the day of that you didn't expect.

    I would say that a good photographer understands the basic shots (first kiss, first dance, photo with parents, bp, etc.  But I think he/she would be looking for a specific list of fun things (specific poses for you and FI, fun BP poses, stuff like that).

    Mine told me he knows all the "usual" pictures but if I wanted anything "out of the ordinary" to let him know like my godparents or a group of friends ect. I guess it wouldnt hurt to put everything you wanted but a good photographer should know.
