shower games or activities

I know many of you ladies had showers recently, so I am wondering what were some shower games that you were fun? I don't have any idea about shower games, and I just got designated games-bitch in my friends wedding, I want it to be fun and not too cheesy or annoying for everyone.

Im not a huge fan of games.  But I do get that it makes showers go by faster.  If you have alot of people I like the timer game.

You get a kitchen timer and set it for 4 min. (more or less depending on how many gifts!).  When the timer goes off, whomevers gift the bride is opening gets a small gift.  Usually the flower girl or a jr. bridesmaid hands them out.

Last shower i went to they gave out bath and body works soaps and lotions.

I like it better than bingo.  Which everyone cheats on, lol.

I went to shower once that had a cooking theme.  They had different spices and you had to identify them.  It was a nice concept except that they had all these super weird spices that no one had ever heard of.  It was a big fail.

At my shower we had Bridal Bingo which was fun, Toliet Paper brides and Bridal Scramble. I thought it helped ease the silence during opening gifts haha and took the pressure off of me! :)

We had Bridal Bingo and another game.

In the other game, the hostesses made a list of household tasks. Everyone fills out their sheet based on if they they the bride would do that task or if the groom would. The bride fills out her sheet and the guest who has the most matching the bride's answers wins a prize.

I saw a shower where everyone broke into teams and "dressed" a Barbie in a whipped cream wedding dress. The pictures were pretty funny, and it's pretty easy to find old Barbies and cheap to find cans of whipped cream.

Another, okay, but not great, game I've participated in is the pocket book scavenger hunt. I think it works best in teams, and It's key to have a couple of strange things on the list that someone might actually have...(obviously you have to edit it based on who will be there...)

I have had two showers with very different audiences!  I had a blast with the games:

     Lingerie shower:
#1Dirty Laundry--each friend "airs" some dirty laundry about the bride.  When someone "airs", they get to select a pair of new panties from a clothesline displayed in the room.

#2 Not sure the name but...you ask the groom questions (from birthday to basic) ahead of time, have the audience guess, have the bride answer them, etc. etc.

#3 Name the Cpation You take pictures of the bride and have people write captions for them.  The bride picks the "winner" of each round.  Hilarious!

    Family/Friends Ladies' Luncheon
#1 Couple Quiz--My sister created a multiple choice quiz about fiance and I.  The winner got a prize.

#2 Well Wishes Bouquet--My sister got the flower picture frames from Michael's and attached green pipe cleaners to them and insterted white paper into the picture area.  Each guest was asked to write a message to the bride.  Now, I have a bouquet of "flowers" for my rehearsal along with nice messages!

We didn't really have any games, per se, but everyone got a clothes pin to wear on their clothes, and if anyone said the word "wedding" they got their clothes pin taken away by whomever heard them. At the end of the shower, whoever had the m ost clothes pins won a prize. It was a cute way for people to get to know each other, I thought.

I have to ditto Blueeyed...every shower I've been to, no one wants to play the games lol.  The timer game is a good one though.

For the bingo game. How did you girls set it up? Is there a template you used? How did you set up the bingo cards?
