bridal undergarments

Hi All,

Does anyone have any suggestions for bras for the wedding day? I went to lady grace and tried on two. One was $58 and one was $62 - I think. Are those prices typical?  Are there any other options? Boston area would be great. thanks!

Re: bridal undergarments

  • Do you need a bra?  I had cups sown into my dress.
  • I guess I could have cups sewn in, but I figured if I bought something I could use again. They had a nice longer girdle type piece that smoothed me out!

I can buy them before I go to the tailor to see how they look.
  • Those prices are actually reasonable and really good.  Thank you for the head's up they have full frontal wedding bras!

  • heidi -

you are welcome!  it was comfortable, but not sure how it will feel when i try it on w/the dress.

  • Cups are also way cheaper than an actual undergarment. My seamstress charged $10 or $15 for them on my dress. Of course, my dress also had a built-in corset, so I didn't really need the full undergarment. :)
  • my dress has a corset back. i donn't know if the full one will fit under. i guess i'll just wait and see! thanks!
  • I went for a pair of high wasted spanx, that my strapless bra ( from lane Bryant....love it! Strapless or convertible with removable straps and clear straps). Very smooth lines and a boost where I needed it! And also great under summer dresses too! Then spanx were expensive at around $60, but the bra was buy one get one 50% off...about $30. Good luck! And make sure you wear the undergarments to your fittings!
