Thoughts on this?

My Jr. bridesmaids mom would not order her dress when my bm's did because she was afraid her daughter would have a growth spurt. I told her that was fine but we had to order by late april. She hasn't returned my calls and FI talked to her yesterday and she said she wanted to wait until June. My wedding is in October. I am already worried about it not coming from the same die lot as the other dresses and now I am freaking out that it won't come in time.  So now I am thinking instead of matching her to the bm's who's dresses are champagne I will match her to the FG's whos dresses are chocolate and order a less expensive dress online for her now to get it over with. I found some I really like and I will just front the money until her mother has it. Is it weird to match the Jr. to the FG's? Will it look funny in pictures?  UH! So stressed!

I think if you are really worried I would get something that you know will match the FG's.  The colors could be off between the Jr. BM and the BM dresses which seems to be really stressing you out and rightfully so.

I would do whatever you feel comfortable with.  If you know the dress will match the FG's I would do it.  I don't think it totally matters as long as she is the onle Jr BM (if there was another Jr in the BM's color dresses then that might look funny).  I think as long as everyone kind of flows and matches it won't look funny in the pictures.

I say for your sanity just order the dress that goes with FG and save yourself the stress.  HTH!

I don't think it will look funny in pictures whichever way you go, so definitely go with whatever calms your mind the most for now.  (I also don't think you need to stress too much about the dye lot issue with champagne dresses; it seems to mostly be with bright and dark colors that the difference can be more noticeable.)

I'm in the exact opposite position - my sister bought the flower girl dresses during the Easter dress sales, and with the wedding not until September, I periodically stress that she's underestimated how much they'll grow over the summer.   It's amazing the things that don't occur to you as possible issues until you actually start putting a wedding together, isn't it?

Why doesn't she just order a size up? we did that with my flower girl and things seem like they should be ok...

Hey Always...I say order her a size up and have it altered to fit her if it ends up being too big...I ended up ordering my FG three dresses and the final pick ended up needing to be altered anyway...don't cause yourself any stress over this --- and this will ease your mind on the situation in the end. GL!

I would def go with the brown / same as the FG dresses just to save the stress!
how about brown dress with an ivory sash or something? for a combination of the two?  Either way, I agree with not waiting and ordering the same color as the BMs - the color could be off and look weird.

Could you get her a sash/wrap ordered with the main BM dresses, and then go with the FG-matching dress?

Save your sanity and go the route of matching the FG. PP have had good advice to order a size up. If the growth spurt happens, you're set, if it doesn't, have her get it altered. 

I think as long as her dress is in the same color spectrum of your wedding colors, it'll look great.

Thanks ladies! I think I am going to order the one that matches the FG dresses. Now she's saying it money and not size. This will save her almost $100 and I can front the money. Now I just have to tell her what I am doing. She has been known to be really difficult.

I'm sorry she has been difficult in all this... I decided to just pay for my niece and nephews attire to save my own sanity and just get it done when I wanted to. So I understand you there..

I don't think she will look out of place if she matches the flower girl.. like pp said, as long as her dress matches the overall wedding party, you will be fine.

I would just make sure the girl is ok with matching the FGs. You don't want her to feel uncomfortable, like she is part of the 'little' kids instead of part of the big girls, if you know what I mean?

But other than that, any of those options sound fine. I like the idea of a champagne sash on the dark brown, because they she kind of matches both.
