Engagement cocktail party

hi, need some ideas for an engagement cocktail party. what food would be your must-haves?

You can never go wrong with a cheese / cracker display. If you're looking for more "meal-type" food, I would say finger sandwhiches, chicken skewers, or shrimp cocktail. Something I always have at parties (and always bring to parties) are small slices of french bread with pesto spread on them. Then place a slice of tomato and mozzarella... so tasty! You can always go with sliders too! Good Luck!!
