Timing before ceremony?

Hi Guys!  We're trying to figure out the timing for getting ready and pictures before the ceremony (my hair and makeup people want to know what time I need to be ready).  So I'm curious:

1)  If you did photos before the ceremony, how long did it take?

2) How long did it take to get dressed (after hair and makeup)?

3) How long did you leave for hair and makeup (and how many people)?

Or if you can just tell me your timeline, that might help.  Our ceremony is at 4:30 PM, so I guess I"m figuring photos from 3-4 PM (need to be out of sight after that while the guests arrive), first look with FI at 2:45 PM, get dressed at 2:15 PM, so makeup at 1:30 PM for me, hair at 12:30 pm for me.  Then I just need to figure how long the girls will need.  I just don't want to be ready too early, sitting aroudn doing nothing, but at the same time I feel like things always take longer than you think they will!

I didn't do a first look so my own timeline is not very helpful but:

1) We did about an hour of family/bm photos before the ceremony and it was more than enough.

2) It took me literally 10 minutes to get dressed. Dress on, zipped, shoes, jewelry and I was good to go.

3) I would leave longer than an hour for your hair. I don't know what you plan on doing, but I feel like most curling jobs or updos take at least an hour and a half.

Noodle, I think you and I are on a similar time schedule. I just emailed my hair and make up girl to figure out timing (nothing is figured out yet though). My ceremony is at 4. We're planning first look pics. You're always posting about the things I'm doing too Good luck and I'll let you know if I figure anything out.

Thanks Meaghan, you are probably right about the hair.  Maybe more like 1.5 hrs...

Hi Lundar!  Yes, I guess we are wedding twins!    Are you doing a full engagement shoot with Leah?  We're hoping to do ours in a few weeks!  (our winter one was a mini-shoot we added at the last minute)

I wish I wasn't thinking about this stuff yet!  But everyone keeps asking me!  Seriously, wedding planning was fun, now it is getting stressful.  Hopefully it will be fun again soon...
