Reasonable flower budget

Hi Ladies - hoping you can help!

What is a reasonable flower budget?  I don't want to spend a ton of money on flowers and would like go as low as I can withought being stingy.  I have 5 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, and 16 tables - but i could cut it to 8 tables and do just candles on every other one.  I am meeting with florists and they all want me to tell them what my budget is - i want to get a good deal but i don't want to give them a number that is totally unrealistic.  I'm fine with using less expensive flowers to help save costs.

Thanks!

It really depends on your priorities and the season.  Flowers were not important to me at all.  "Reasonable" to me was $400.  I found a florist who was very willing and able to work with that budget.  Andrea D'Amelio of AD Floral Design was able to give me GORGEOUS flowers that totally exceeded my expectations, for just over $400 including delivery and tax.  That was for a bridal bouquet, 5 bridesmaids, 3 mothers posies and 11 boutonierres.

Many many people think that 2K is reasonable for flowers.  I would honestly start with 1,000 if you're including centerpieces.  They should be able to tell you what you can get for 1K and then you can upgrade from there if you feel that you want more.

We paid 1590 (including delivery and tax) in Methuen, MA  for 7 bouts, 4 BM bouquets, my bouquet, two smaller church pieces, an arrangement for the card table, 2 mothers corsages, 2 grandmother corsages,  my toss bouquet, 10 centerpieces, and a head table arrangement.  I think that was everything and in our area that was good.

Agreed.... not sure what you mean by reasonable, that totally depends on the type of flower, but in total my budget was a little less than $1800. For that price I had:

14 centerpieces for reception.... 7 low, 7 high... all full in size.
2 ceremony arrangements + vase rental... very large in size.
    6 bm bouqets
    1 large bouqet for me
    10 bouts for the guys
    2 small bouquets for moms/grandmothers
    1 chuppah rental
    1 guest table display
    Flowers for cake

All flowers that we used had a fall theme. We used mango calla lilies, roses, dahlias, ranunculus, mums, some gerbera daisies, and some other random flowers that I now forget.

Def shop around. We could have probably paid a bit less for everything we got, but to be honest not that much. We had so many flowers and each arrangement was so full and lush. I was VERY happy with my flowers.

I'm paying between 800-900$ and that's for 8 centerpieces, my bouquet, my MOH bouquet, 2 bouts, and 2 mother's corsages.  We're doing hydrangeas, white roses and my bouquet will be callalillies.

We worked with Lyndsey Loring out of NH, and we spent about $1500. We had:

1 large, 2 medium peony bouquets
    7 rose bouts
    3 rose corsages
15-20 foot long garland of fresh roses and hydrangea to hang over a wooden arbor
10 galvanized buckets of hydrangea to line the aisle
8 centerpieces of submerged orchids for cocktail hour area
15 centerpieces of peonies, roses, and hydrangea for the tables

    Hope that helps!
