Hair and Make-up cost/recommendations

We're not getting married until Nov 2011, but I am starting to research bridal hair and make-up packages (trying to figure out what is a realistic budget for this...I have NO idea, because I normally only get a simple cut on my hair).  I have a couple of hair styles in mind...simple, half-up, half-down styles.  My hair length is just below the chin.  All my bridesmaids have similar har cuts...all bob-ish styes, so I'm thinking of getting them cute headbands or hair clips to pin on one side above their ear, so they won't need to be included in the hair package.  As far as make-up goes, I CAN technically do it myself, but kind of like the idea of getting pampered a little on my big day :)  I have 3 bridesmaids that I wish to include in the make-up package.

We are getting married in Poughkeepsie, NY in early Nov 2011.  My question is: does anyone have any recommendations for hair/make-up studios?  Also, what is the average cost of the Bride's hair (trial and day-of service.  On locaion vs in-studio is not a big deal), as well as a make-up package for 4 ladies? (1 bride, 3 bridesmaids)

Thanks a lot!!!

for hair i used my hair stylist whose salon is in poughkeepsie..she has been doing my hair for years!  I believe my hair (including trial) was like 125 and the BMs for updos were 75 or 85.

For Makeup, she recommended a friend of hers who works at the MAC counter at Macy's in the Poughkeepsie Galleria (and I saw on here another girl used her too...small world).  Her name was Arlene and she was WONDERFUL.  I don't remember exactly what she charged me but I do remember thinking it was reasonable and the price included the trial.  I only had to buy the lip gloss/lipstick and the powder for during the day touch ups and she gave me her discount on that.

I never thought of using department stores for my wedding make-up!  Thanks!  It would be a fun "morning of" outing for us girls to do, too :)

Also, I had kind of been thinking of having one of my favorite hair dressers do my wedding hair...I used to go to her all the time when I was living in Poughkeepsie during colllege (we live in Albany now)  I guess I'll have to look her up and see if she does that kind of thing!

Jill from JK Flashy definitely!  She is $200 for the bride, and that includes your trial (airbrush and lashes!)

For my hair it was $75 for the trial and $125 for the day of- the stylist came to my house and it was a normal updo.

    HTH's!
