fake candles?

I inhertied 250 REAL vovite candles (a friend called off her wedding and gave them to me...) only come to find out we cant use real candles at our reception site...

So now I am on the hunt for the fake ones. Only every website I go on to order them in bulk is going to cost me almost 100 dollars with the shipping and everything. I find them from time to time in stores but they never have enough (i want at least 100 or so). I was thinking that with the holidays over they must be on sale somewhere, I wasnt sure if anyone had seen them around? I really dont want to pay a lot for them, because they are actually kind of a waste, I'll never really use them again haha! Just wondering if you ladies have seen them anywhere for really cheap.

Thanks!!

I have a ton of battery operated tealights leftover from my wedding....probably 175 or more.  They've only been used for 5-6 hours and they are supposed to be good for 80+ hours so there should still be plenty of life left in them.  If anyone is interested in buying them second hand, shoot me an email at elizabeth.whitkin@gmail.com and we can talk numbers.

So i counted the candles... there is no where near 250, so I'm not sure where my friend got that. I never checked when she gave them to me, but oh well.

in total there a 130, and some a a tad bit bigger than others but they are all vovites, some are white, and some are more of an ivory or cream I paid 100 even for the "250"," but since theres clearly not 250... I'll sell them for .50 cents each for a total of 65 dollars.

email me at jcrete@worcester.edu if anyone is still interested :)

I have seen the fake ones at Costco, the one near the Wellington T stop. BUT, they were Christmas colors-- red, green and white, so if you are using clear holders, you would only be able to use the white. They were located near the other home decorative kind of stuff, like vases and such. Just in case CTS doesn't work out.

I got battery operated pillar candles for $2.99 at Christmas Tree Shops,  and they came with batteries.  They were right by the regular candles at the one in Salem NH

I got a bunch of them at Dollar Tree in Burlington by Joann Fabrics (they were in one of the middle aisles, at the end of the aisle, close to the registers).

They are 2/$1.  I tested one of them to see how long they last--I left it on and it lasted 2-3 days.  I forget now, but I think they are even the flickering kind (that look like real candles).  When I got them I got 12 packages, but they easily had dozens there.  Might call them first to make sure they still have them before making the trip.
