roasting marshmellows

I want my wedding to be fun , casual and light hearted. No black tie affair.   I see many vintage instagram style pictures with paper lanters and woodsy and love the idea.

I am looking for a vendor that has a open campground style area like where the kids use to gather for lunches and it had no walls or doors.  Also possibly thinking cabins for the guests that stay - but that i know from experience is not comfortable.  So I guess woodsy and able to have a bon fire is what i would like..

Also I am taking into consideration outdoor grilling or catering factors too.  Im obviously new at this and throwing ideas in a pot!

any vendors in New england area ?  I live south of boston, but open to any ideas!

Thanks everyone!!

  • Camp Kiwanee sounds perfect for you.  Our friends got married there/had their reception there and it was the most fun wedding I've ever been to.
  • Camo Bournedale in Plymouth sounds like it would be perfect for you. They have cabins for guests to stay in and have a bon fire after the wedding
  • It is a pretty traditional-type vender, but the campfire to the side of the tent at Zukas (Spencer, MA) I think is what sealed the deal for my FI. There are very few hotels nearby though; the closest are 20-25 minutes.

<div>I attended a wedding at Old Sturbridge Village (not a campground though and no cabins - sorry!) and we got to roast marshmallows and make s'mores on the common outside the barn and tavern.  It was a huge bonfire and was a great addition to the night!</div>
  • I second bournale www.capefunctions.com. This is where we are getting married and we love it.  It's unique.  It is also known for being a camp so they have various water activities too(season depending) Our favorite part it the pontoon boat and the bon fire and the fact that our guests can stay over with breakfast the next morning
  • Porches might be worth taking a look at. They in western Mass though.
