    How much are alterations generally with her? I am unsure if I should just get mine done at the shop (allegria in belmont) or take it to someone else...

    Chris did the alterations on my daughter's dress in November 2008.  Total cost was $150.   She had it taken in, taken up, cups, and a very intricate bustle done... it had a total of 48 ties.  Would have cost a whole lot more at the bridal shop.  My younger daughter is getting married this June.  She is wearing my veil.  We purchased lace for it and the bridal shop where she got her dress quoted her $100-$150 to attach the lace.  Chris did it for $30.  Just be aware that her shop isn't the tidiest of places.  I was shell shocked first time I went to her.  She does great work so you get past the mess.  Good luck!
