Starting to get seriously irritated! Rant...

My wedding is in 2 months... We are renting out an inn (overflowing it, actually) and the innkeeper keeps promising to get in touch and then NEVER DOES. My menu is not final (using their onsite chef), the room assignments are not final, they wouldn't negotiate with my parents on the rate and did i mention the wedding is 2 MONTHS AWAY?!

They are very nice, and are full of promises but I am starting to worry about the day of and what else they will let slide or won't come through on.

Planning is stressful enough - and this is making me crazy! I don't want to snap on them but I am really tired of being blown off when I try to make appointments and finalise my details.

Ugh. rant over. :) but what should I do?

  • You might want to try setting up an in-person meeting so you can get answers right away.  If he doesn't get back to you, I'd go over there.

  • I agree. If you don't hear back to schedule a meeting, I would just show up one day and tell them you have been trying to reach them but since you havent heard anything, you decided to stop by to make sure everything was all set.

  • Have you talked to them on the phone? Sounds like a face-to-face meeting is in order.

  • I agree with PP. Being there in person will make it a lot harder for them to blow you off. Also you'll likely be dealing directly with the person in charge if you set up a meeting/stop in rather than whoever handles the emails/phone calls. It will also allow you to get the answers you need instead of an answer over the phone of "I'll have to check with so-and-so and get back to you on that," which can be extremely annoying.
