Has anyone done the photo strip idea for save the date's? Just wondering how you printed all of them..photo printer, in a store, snapfish? Help! Thanks
We used Magnet Street for our STD's and they had a bunch of photo strip choices, great quality, they can be a little pricey but if you get them while they are having a sale, they are great.

I JUST finished my magnet photostrip STDs (see my bio under "DIY")!!! I absolutely LOVE them!!!!
If you're comfortable around a computer I highly suggest giving the DIY route a try. I made them up myself and uploaded it into VistaPrint. Including buying envelopes from staples, and cardstock to adhere the magnets too while they ship, my STDs came to less than $0.40 each!!! Let me know if I can help ;o)
Hi Laurel, We used the photostrip idea for our save the dates, and and we got them printed on Vistaprint.com.
They are postcards where the front looks like 3 of those black and white photostrips (we didn't take them in a machine, we actually used a curtain as a backdrop and then changed the pictures to black and white in Photoshop.) We found the photostrip borders online, and then sized and inserted our photos into them. We are holding a sign with one word on it in each photo so that the first strip going down says "We're getting married !" (the exclamation point got its own sign!), the second "September 25, Cambridge Massachusetts 2010" and the last "Save the Date !". On the back we just put the standard message and our website. Hopefully this picture kind of gives you the idea of what the printed card looked like. We were happy with vistaprint .. they are quite reasonable.
We used vistaprint. We ordered 100 postcards for FREE!! Insane, I know. All we paid for was shipping and handling and a charge for uploading a picture. We got them in the mail today and they came out great!
