purse for the bride?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if most brides get a purse or not, I like the idea, but at the same time, what will I need it for?  I won't be carrying it around, we will have feminine products, etc in the ladies room, I guess if I had lipstick or medication I had to take, I could get one or just put it in my mom's purse.  What are you doing, purse or no purse?

I did have a purse but thats cause someone bought it for me. But i was going to borrow a friends purse for the night. No need to have one. Put whatever in your mom's purse. Also, your mom will have to ask someone during ceremony to hold her purse cause she isn't going to want to walk down the aisle with it . Have a great wedding.

When i was shopping for shoes i mentioned to the sales associate that i wanted a purse.  He told me that I would not need one and to save the money.  I realized he was right.  My bridesmaids' dresses have pockets so I will have a few of them hold something for me.

I had a purse... Didn't open it once!  It just took up space on the table!

My mother bought a gorgeous purse for me as a shower gift; otherwise, I wouldn't have spent the money.  It never left the bridal suite, but it was helpful to have all those important things- my glasses, lipstick and gloss, car keys, cell phone, etc. in one easy to find place.  If I put them in my tote bag, I would have to dig around everytime I needed them.

My mom got me a purse that wasn't "bridal" specifically so I can use it again- if you do get one, avoid white or ivory!

I bought one for about $10, I just want to have my license and credit card and phone and lipstick in it in the bridal suite.  It probably won't leave the suite but that's okay at least if I need those things it will be right in one spot.  I wouldnt have bought it if it was anymore and it is pretty cute looking :)

I did not have one. I had my sister hold my lipstick and phone, which were all I wanted with me. The downside was that she went home with it when I went back to the hotel with H, so I didn't have a phone the next morning until I met her. NBD though.
