Small Wedding

Hello Everyone!

I really need help with any advice or information on a place in the Boston/Cape/South shore area of  MA that allows small groups. My fiance and I aren't planning on having a huge extravagant wedding. We want our closest family and friends leaving us with a guest list of about 20 people tops. It's so hard finding a place with a lower minimum than 30. I am looking for a nice, small, quaint place. Our budget is about 3000-3500 dollars. It's going to be in December so something indoors would be preferred. Any tips, opinions, info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Kandys! 

I would recommend looking for historical sites- older houses, manors, and mansions are often rented out for events by the society or local office that oversees them; many have smaller rooms and don't have minimums because they aren't contracted with specific caterers (one of my favorites is the Commander's Mansion, http://www.commandersmansion.com/, which is unfortunately too small for my wedding). Try looking at restaurants--they can accomodate smaller parties and they are cheaper because most of the time they just charge you for the food and drinks!
