Davids Bridal -Sangria

Alright Ladies-- I have had the worst time picking out the "purple" for my bridesmaid dresses--- I like Regency @ DB but the selection is poor, Lapis is another option but I feel like it is too dark for a July wedding (what do you think? I'm pairing it with lime green) then I came accross Sangria--- has anyone seen this color-- is it "purpley"?
Thanks so much!

I haven't, or atleast I can't think of it off the top of my head.

My bridesmaids and I went to DB and I had each other them get in a different color and in me a dress then we took pictures. (bring flowers/other color accents ect)  then we had a real idea of what colors looked best.

I *LOVE* Sangria!  I think of it as a purple with a pinkish hue.  It is VERY pretty in person in Satin.  I did notice at DB that the colors look different depending on the fabric.  I liked colors in Satin way better than Chiffon.  I'm thinking of using Sangria or Watermelon.  Definitely go check it out in person.

I also was thinking of using this color at DB.  My general color theme is purple and green and I eventually decided against it because I think it was almost burgundy I person (I want like an eggplant or aubergine) and it wouldn't have looked right with the purple flowers I am using.  I think it depends on what your boquets look like and whether you're looking for a real purple or more of a wine color.  Definitely go see them in person.

I'm a BM an outdoor wedding next June and we are all wearing long Sangria dresses. I think the lighter, chiffon/flowy dresses look great in the summertime!  I would agree with both PPs above that a) it's closer to burgundy in person than it looks on the website, and b) the shades look significantly different depending on what fabric you choose.

Also, I'm not sure what your timeline looks like, but I do know that the dresses we are wearing, at least, have been discontinued - not sure if the whole line has - but we had to order them all super-early before they were unavailable. So I would check sooner rather than later if you want to have a full selection. HTH!! :)

I've been having the exact same problem!!  The lesson that I have learned is that you can NOT look at the colors online - they are completely different in person.  At first I was going to go with lapis - but decided the same thing, too dark.  Regency is nice, but limited dresses and borderline 80's!
Then I checked out african violet from dessy.com - beautiful online - more pink (like sangeria from DB) in person.  However, I recently found a few you might be interested in:  Grape from www.morilee.com, or eggplant and c.purple from www.mackenziemichaels.com  are awesome in person!!  I think I'll be going with Grape from Mori Lee!!!   Hope this helps!
