DJ Recommendations

My fiance and I are getting married in September of this year and are starting to look at our options regarding DJs. Our budget for the entire wedding is $10k or under, so we are on a bit of a tight budget. Does anyone know of any reasonably priced DJs? I was hoping to find someone for 1,500 or under. We don't need anything elaborate, just someone to keep the music going and make announcements for us. Thanks!

    Ra-Mu and the Crew have had good reviews on this board.  He gives you a lot for $1,500 but if you don't want stuff (say like a photobooth) you can probably get him cheaper.  He has been very easy to work with so far.

    We used John Cristoferi out of Brockton.  He was great.  It was $800 for a 5 hour reception.

    We booked Ramu and the Crew for our 10/7/12 wedding! He was about $1350 and includes a lot- uplighting, screens to show pictures or people's text messages during wedding (we are opting against that). He also offers photo booth but we aren't opting for that either. Def worth checking out! He is a funny guy too....
