fun song to leave church

I am looking for a fun upbeat modern song to walk back down the isle to after the ceremony is over? I was hoping for a song that was new in the past few years

any suggestions?

Re: fun song to leave church

  • Have you checked with your church to see if you can even play a fun upbeat modern song? When we met with our priest he gave us a FAQ sheet and a booklet we had to read. One of the things that was on the FAQ sheet was about music and it said we could only use "church music" (I forget how it was actually worded)

  • Are you guys using a DJ for your reception afterwards? I know our DJ gave us a huge list of popular songs and what event we could use them for, so as long as your church allows a fun song you can maybe pick from such a list? Good luck!

  • I was going to ask the same question as Kelly above.  We are not religious and did not get married in a church but a lot of other brides who I encountered that *Were* vetting married in a church all had the same complaint, they were not allowed to have an upbeat, fun, modern song to leave the church and I want to say it was all different faiths...It seemed to be a fairly universal rule.  That is not to say that it's not at all allowed, I'm just saaying that I can't recall anyone married last year that I read about married in a church being allowed to do so.

But my husband and I left our ceremony to the Beatles All You Need Is Love and it was awesome.  Everyone loved it and had  pep in their step as the exited the ceremony to the small receiving line of just me and my husband.
