$500 venue w/kitchen?

Does anyone know of a cheap venue with room for 40-50? A couple I'm friends with have two small children and just want to get married with family around. They plan to DIY food/alcohol so it must have a kitchen. Maybe a house rental would work for this? Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

    I know the lakeville eagles club on is around that price and includes a kitchen, but you would have to buy the liquor from them. 

    This only includes, hall, kitchen, tables, chairs, and bartender.

    Where are your friends located? I know the Medway VFW (?) was re-done a couple years ago and my aunt had a 30th birthday bash for my cousin there that was really nice and inexpensive.

    They live in Framingham...but would probably consider venues within an hour or so of there.

    I'm not sure if buying alcohol from the venue works with their budget, but I will check that out! Thanks : )

    Fairview Inn.  I don't remember the price but remember thinking wow thats cheap.

    hahah didn't even read they wanted to do food themselves.  Hmmm try a church hall maybe?

    I think a house rental is a great idea. We rented a house down on the Cape for a week in September and did the wedding there. We had it catered, but since the house was large, it had a gorgeous well-equipped kitchen with cooking space for quantity (industrial stove and oven, 3 fridges, etc). Plus, we got to stay in a gorgeous house for a week, and it slept about 20 people. There is a small dance hall on the property that would be perfect for 40-50 people. It was under 5000 for a whole week, which might be less practical or not in budge for your friend, but I know its heavily discounted in the winter.

    Either way, a house rental is a great idea in general.

    I love this place...it was just a little too small for me though.
    Definitely holds 50-60 people and it has a gorgeous view.
