Makeup Artist Needed

Hi,

So I am starting my hunt for makeup artists to come to my bridal party for the day of the wedding and am having some sticker shock.  Also most of my BM's have told me they can't afford over $50 for makeup, I have also told them they can get it done or they don't have to.  I already have a hairdresser and am looking for a makeup artist.  I have contacted Special Events Beauty, Girl Junky, and Karla Patricia Makeup Artist.  Does anyone have any recommendations that are closer to $50 a bridesmaid and under $100 for the bride?

TIA :)

Yup-- I'm using Faces by Tara (facesbytara.com) -- she is only $50 for BMs, but Bride it'll be right at $100. She was super nice, and does fake lashes for no additional fee! Here are her prices:

Bride-$100 (includes travel within 50 miles of Boston & pre-wedding consultation)
Travel fees are $20 for each additional 20 miles
    Bridesmaids-$50
    MOB/MOG-$30
    Flower Girl-$15
Pre/Post Ceremony Touchups-$25 per half hour
    Bridal Shower/Rehearsal Dinner-$50
    *Gratuities Not Included*

Second Makeup By Brea, she just did my wedding in September and she does a fabulous job. Not sure if you are specific about the type of makeup but she uses MAC which I absolutely think is the best for photos.

You said that you contacted Girly Junk, so I wasn't sure if that meant they were already booked or you thought they were too pricy.  Their prices are only $60 per person, which is close to what you're looking for.    We used them for our wedding and they were awesome to work with.  Just wanted to make sure you knew :)

michelle, when is your wedding again? if you're not on the same day as me, my makeup artist is really great, she's charging $100 for me (for trial and day of), $50 for my girls ($45 if I pay, so I might do this and have them pay me back) and $25 for eye-makeup only if some of my girls just want that. She's coming to my hotel and not charging me anything extra for travel or anything. Let me know if you want her info :)

Eeyore - I hadn't heard back from her yet and also she requires a minimum amount of people to get done in the summer and basically none of my girls will solidly say they will do it.  I'm going to talk to them this weekend and hopefully get some straighter answers out of them.

A Mary Kay Consultant will do Brides for $75 (Free consultation) and BM's for $50 each.   Not all of them are as good at Make up application as others, But you can ask them to see a portfolio or see a few different ones and get consultations by a few different ones to make sure you like their style!

Noel from Special event(bridgewater) was my make-up artist. I think there is also a requirement of people but honetly she was well worth every penny. Special events were my favorite vendors to work with through the whole process. They were so nice, patience, personalbe, and real not fake. So try to book with them and ask for Noel if you can she did such a nice job on our faces. The pictures came out flawless cause of good make-up; Good luck in your search. I booked them as soon as I picked my date for my wedding since there so popular.
