Would it be weird to have bridesmades if there are no groomsmen?

Hi ladies -

So my fiance informed me that he doesn't plan on having a best man or groomsmen because he doesn't want to pick between his friends. He just wants his sister - which would be part of my bridal part of course. I had planned to have about 7 bridesmades (his sister, my two sisters, and then close friends). He thinks we should just keep it to the sisters but I was looking forward to having my girls around before the reception (because our reception will be huge) and wanted them part of my party. would it be really odd to have 7 mades and no men? Or do you think I should just keep it to the three sisters?

Id his only reason for not wanting a bridal party is that he doesn't want to choose?
He can have his sister as his 'best woman' and his friends as his groomsmen, or he can just have all of them as part of his bridal party and you can have your friends/relatives as your bridal party.,  You don't have to use the Best Man, Maid of Honor labels.

If he just doesn't want a bridal party then,you will need to work something out between you.

He has too many friends in general so doesn't wan any in the bridal party. So I'm wondering if it was werid if I had more than the sisters because it's going to be all women regardless - whether it's just 3 (sisters) or a toal of 7 (sisters + best friends). So I guess I'm curiuous if it would be really odd to have 7 women and no men?

Eh, I would tell him to have his sister stand up for him and then have the 6 that you want to stand up for you.   You should be able to have a bridal party if you want one.

Personaly, I think he could choose seven guys.  He could then just not choose a specific best man.  I think his reason is a cop out, no offense.

I don't think it's a cop out - he has a lot of friends and doesn't want to pick between them . He also doesn't think it's particularly fun to be in a wedding and he's been asked to be in a bunch so I think he doesn't want to put that on people. But he's one of those people that has remained friends with every friend he's ever had so - I don't think they would care but he does so I"m a bit stuck. At this point I'm leaning towards just the sisters but I'm bummed because I wanted all my girls.

I have one MOH, three BM and one flower girl.  My fiancé only has a Best Man.  I think it is your wedding so do what you want and no I don't think it would be weird.  No one is going to think negatively about your wedding because of it.
