Asian/Thai brides! ISO traditional dress

Already posted this on "cultural wedding boards"- thought I would try locally too.

I am half Thai and am looking for a local purveyor of authentic and traditional Thai wedding dress. Willing to travel anywhere in the state or New England to get one.

I don't know if this helps, but this is a designer I know who does all of her work out of Thailand and is local to Boston.  She's great and super nice.  You should send her an email and see if she can help you.

I believe you can find Thai dresses online or if you have a picture, there are Cambodian tailors in the area (Lowell, Lynn, Boston) that make Cambodian and Thai wedding dresses. You can also rent the dress as most Thai and Cambodian brides make several dress changes during the ceremony and tend to rent the garments and accessories because they are so expensive to buy individually. btw I am Cambodian-Chinese but born in Thailand. I am having a traditional Cambodian ceremony and Chinese tea ceremony too.

Thanks JBs... she has a shop both in Copley and on Newbury St. now. I have a tentative appointment on Monday. 

Royal Orient, where are you getting your dresses from?  I am just going to do one dress- don't have the money nor the interest in multiple changes.
