Hello - can anyone recomend a good photographer who is known for taking good formal pictures - I want really nice pictures of my family. Thank you

i would check out John LoConte from www.johnlophoto.com we used him for engagement pictures and he was wonderful to work with! he is shooting our wedding this weekend... he had really nice formal stuff and really nice photojournalistic stuff... definitely worth checking into! hth

We used Person and Killian who were amazing.  I think some of the girls have seen the wedding pictures and I think they did a stunning job. 

We worked with Lauren who was calm (which is needed day of), personalable and very funny.  She literally captured almost every guest at the wedding.  She has been really helpful- even after the wedding she has been so nice about creating our wedding album.

Scott Metzger can definitely do formals. He can do them with an artsy flair if you want, also.

 A good friend of mine, Pam Gormley, does wonderful work in the Boston Area.  She shot my best friend's wedding and she'll be doing mine in April.  I also had her do portrait shots of my fiancé and me a year ago.  You may see me in her portfolio!
