Men's Palladium Wedding Band?

We went to the Long's Wedding Band Event this weekend in Burlington, MA. I think we are going back tomorrow to get my wedding band- super excited.

FI tried on wedding bands, and he wants to buy it tomorrow too. It was our first time looking at wedding bands for him, and we don't know if it is a decent deal or not. The band he is looking at is pretty plain/ traditional. The metal he was thinking of ordering the ring in is palladium. The discounted quote was $540. Is that a decent price for a palladium ring or are we better off looking elsewhere??

    I wish I had some good advice as my FI and I went through this last weekend.  We ended up having to resort to online research as jewelry stores wouldn't do quotes over the phone and we didn't want to miss the sale at the jewelry store we used.  I think it sounds good....my FI got a brushed white gold for $450, and palladium is in the platinum family so $540 seems reasonable.  But again, I do not know for sure!  Good luck!  :)

    i'm definitely not an expert, but my husband's band is a very solid platinum with a brushed white gold band running around the middle on the outside and that was $650 at the zales outlet in wrentham... so it sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

    Thanks ladies for your input! It puts my mind at ease. I didn't want to feel like we are rushing into it since we haven't done much research. I've been doing some online research since last night and we are going to some other jewelers today. If it is reasonable we might be purchasing both wedding bands today at the wedding band event :)
