We booked the honeymoon!

I'm so excited! We booked our honeymoon! Well, the hotel portion of it...we're waiting to book an airline hoping for a good deal!  I've been bummed all week because I came down with the chicken pox so I haven't been able to do anything since Monday! Anyway, that cheered me up a bit! :)

    PS_ I would look at Jet Blue's website.  We got a great deal on airfare.  We had to book each leg of the flight seperately but the prices were great.  Were able to get non-stop flights both ways.  I went before and had a connecting flight and it was such a long day.  Do non-stop if possible.

    Chelley: We've actually been there before, it's actually where we got engaged which is why we wanted to go back there.  I've been looking for non-stop flights but I can't find them on any airline! I love Jet Blue so I'm hoping they come up with a good deal! :)

    Actually, let me correct that...I can't find non-stop flights for the days we are going there and coming home! Jet Blue has one the day after the wedding, but we want to relax that day and leave the following day.

    As a travel agent my suggestion to you is not to wait to book the flights for too long.  The airlines (all of them) have really cut back on the number of flights they're operating this year because last year they were forced to sell off seats for really low prices, and they have tried to compensate.  (this is possibly why you're not finding flights for certain days of the week) Unfortunately, more people are traveling this year, as the shock of the economic downturn has worn off for a lot of people, which means availability is aweful.  You're not going to get a better deal if you wait this year...the pricing is only going to go up :-(. Not the news you want to hear I'm sure, but hopefully it helps in the planning process!

    Thanks for the info Sniksa! I'll let me FI know!  He's pretty much the one wanting to wait..we've been looking at houses to buy before the wedding so I think he's freaking out about money, so, if I tell him that the prices are gonna go up, he may want to jump on it now! Thanks again! :)
