Casual, Summer Rehearsal Dinner - BBQ? Horseshoes? Need help!

Hey Knotties!

I am looking for a rehearsal dinner venue for a friday night in July. I'd love to have an informal, summery dinner, maybe a bar or lobster shack or somewhere outside. Instead of the traditional, stuffy, sit-at-a-long-table-and-meet-the-future-inlaws affair we really want something casual and fun. Maybe a place with horseshoes or bocce or even a candlepin bowling place or something else if you have any clever ideas.

We are getting married in Weston but we hail from Newton so anywhere west of the city would really be great. Thanks for your great ideas!

Not in your area, but you could do a clambake on either Thompson or spectacle island in Boston harbor.
