Paper Source / Printing

So, I'm thinking about buying cardstock from Paper Source for my direction enclosures, menus, and placecards and I am completely clueless when it comes to this stuff!

Can I use the cardstock with my own printer or do I bring it somewhere to be printed?  If I have to bring it somewhere, are there any recommendations and about how much does the printing cost??

Thank you!!

You can use card stock in your own printer, as long as it's not too think. Other girls here, or maybe on the DIY board would know which weight to use.

Yup, you can use it in your own printer, but definitely try it out first before you buy hundreds of sheets. Check out the DIY board for tips, and I would recommend going in to the Paper Source store and talking to the sales people. They are all really knowledgeable and into all things paper, so they can really help you out with the specifics.

I can tell you there are two basic options for printing at home. Buy the paper already cut into the sizes you need, and print on these small pieces, which requires some messing around with the settings on your printing. OR, buy full size sheets, print multiple copies of whatever it is your are printing (2 5x7 invites, or 5 3x5 RSVP cards, that kind of thing) then use a paper cutter to cut to the correct size. Printing shops will also do the cutting for you, for a small fee. I have heard of people having great outcomes with both, but I haven't decided myself what I will do.

I hope that helps! I'm in the midst of investigating all this myself, hence the long response!
