Wedding bands

Did anyone purchase their wedding band from a different place than where the e-ring was purchased?  Can anyone reccommend the jeweler that you went to for your wedding band if it was a different place or a jeweler that I could purchase the wedding band even though my e-ring was not purchased there?

I am hoping that I can go to another place but still find something I like.

My hubby got my e-ring from a small jewler in our local town and for the bands, we went to a speical event they held at Belden's were a jewler came in and made custom bands on site, it was a great opporunity to get custom, but at a big box price

I have heard that Long's has a huge wedding band event in February that has some great discounts.

My e-ring came w/ a matching band.  I bought FI band at Zales (which is also where my e-ring) came from.  We did shop around, but got the best deal there.

My FI bought my e-ring online so we've been looking at local stores for bands.  I've been to Jared (Burlington) and Barmakian (Framingham).  I *loved* Jared, the salesman was really nice and they had a nice selection.  We will probalby buy FI's ring there. 

I didn't like the saleswoman at Barmakian at all.  She was totally pressuring me into buying a more expensive ring than I wanted to.  However, they did have a much larger selection of yellow gold (which is what I want) and their prices were good.  I plan to hit Long's as well at some point.  If you are looking for platinum or white gold, either store will probably have a good selection.

Joseph Gann in Boston did an AMAZING job with my wedding band. My e-ring is a custom job so I thought sure I was going to have to get a custom band, but after 6 months of searching, Joseph Gann's had the perfect band and added 6 small stones on each side of theband and matched it to my e-ring.

I second Barmakian. My E-ring is from there and we were just there to get it resized, and they had a ton of bands. I went to the downtown crossing one. To be honest, though, customer service was just ok. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, but still.

My e-ring was from Shreve, but we bought both wedding bands at Lux, Bond & Green (basically next door on Boylston St.).  The jeweler that DH worked with on the e-ring switched to Lux so we switched with him!  His name is Stephen Talbot, if you go.  VERY knowledgeable and great to work with.  HTH!

My e-ring came from Longs and that is where we will start our search for wedding bands.  Apparently they have a wedding band event at their store in Burlington in Feb/March and it is HUGE.  I think they literally have thousands of wedding bands.  They can always get you anything but it will be handy to see them all in one place at one time.  There is also a discount if you purchase at the event. 

I love Longs and the service has been great.  I literally stop in every week (I work next door) and get my ring cleaned and they are all so friendly.

I got my e-ring custom made at longs. The side stones where not the ones I picked out and I did not like how the setting came out. After a few visits to the store they did not seem to understand what I wanted done. I ended up bringing my e-ring to EB Horn in Boston and had it re-set (after we had to purchase the correct side stones). I love how it came out, it was exactly what I had been trying to explain to longs!
I wanted my ring set so that a wedding band would sit flush with it (or as close as possible). Longs told me it could not be doner. well I got it done at EB Horn.

I ended up getting my wedding band from EB Horn as well. I worked with Mark Belanger and he was very patient with me and brought in a bunch of different rings for me to look at.
I would highly recommened them!
