I was bio stalking and saw your professional pictures. Wow such a beautiful wedding. I was wondering if you could share with me about your letter/wine box. That totally looks like something we'd like to do, but I know nothing about it!

hi! well basically our JP  asked what ritual we wanted. I am Syrian orthodox so our rituals are not JP friendly lol. Its church only. H didn't have a preference. We knew we didn't want a unity candle or sand because for us and our families- they didn't really apply. Our JP suggested the wine box. What we did was write each other a letter the week of the wedding.

At the ceremony, the JP talked about how the wedding was the start of our life together and we each bring expectations and dreams to our marriage. We want to always remember how we started.. so with that in mind we prepared a letter. On our 15th anniversary (pick a date) we will open the letters, have a glass of wine together and remember how we started. It's basically a time capsule.

Our groomsman made a gorgeous winebox that held the bottle, two glasses and the letter. You can also find boxes on etsy.

lemme know if you have other questions! Our guests loved it.. it was unusual but really nice.

Thank you so much. Your wedding is gorgeous and as soon as I saw a ceremony involving wine, I knew it was something we wanted to do. I love how this is different and yet still something for us! I hope when you open it it will bring back that day for you.
