Tasting question

Hey ladies, I have caterer tastings scheduled for this coming weekend.  The first one is on Saturday at 3pm.  I want to go out for dinner with my family later that night - probably between 7-8pm - but my mom and sister aren't sure they will go because they are worried they will be full from the tasting.

How much food do they generally give you for a tasting?  I assumed it was just a taste - maybe enough for one bite per person.  Or do you fill up from the varieties of food?  Anyone have suggestions from their experiences?  Thanks!

Is it a private tasting? If it is, generally it is just a small amount of food. If it is a public tasting where they are having all sorts of couples and their families there to taste a range of things then there is usually a ton of food and you can really fill up quick.

Either way, just eat a litte bit and still enjoy your dinner out! :)

We were so stuffed from our tasting! They brought one plate that looks like what the guests would get and then brought us smaller portions for tasting (smaller in comparison to the big plate, but still a filing portion).

ETA: This was a private tasting.

I had my tasting on wed and it was for all the brides this year.  They served just about everything on the menu just in smaller portions.  We were s-t-u-f-f-e-d.

I guess it depends on how they do it.  My sisters was private and she only got to try 3 dishes.

Mine's private, we get to try 4 entrees total, and they're bringing them AS they'll appear at our wedding.  So I'm guessing it will be a ton of food and very filling.

Mine was a sitdown dinner with both set of parents.  We each had a full plate dinner that will be served at the reception.  We were all stuffed when we were finished.  It was a private tasting.
