Best Konditor Meister Cake Flavors

I'm having my tasting there this weekend and am wondering which flavors are really good there or are they known for?

Thanks!

Strawberry Grand Marnier is by far their most popular!  We got it on 2 of our layers.. We also really liked the Baily's Chocolate Cream which was recommended to us by one of our friends.  Our last layer, was the mango (I was suprised we picked this, but it was SOOO yummy!). All in all, I don't think you can go wrong with any flavor that KM makes!  Have fun at the tasting and bring your appetite... they bring out like 15 full pieces of cake for you to try!  I might suggest bringing a water bottle or some other drink... they only gave us like a dixie cup of water (or coffee if you wanted), but after all that cake my mouth was so dry!

Good to know soxgal! Thanks for the suggestions. I've heard good things about the Strawberry Marnier.  I forgot to mention we get to choose up to 5 flavors, one for each layer. So keep your favorite flavors coming. :)

I really liked the Tiramisu Cake from Konditor Meister as well as the lemon mousse,
    and the mango mousse.
We decided on white chocolate mousse with fresh strawberries and peaches it was our favorite out of all of them!

Just an FYI if they don't have a certain cake flavor made when you go for your tasting and there is a certain filling you would like to try, they will mix it up for you if you ask.

We had five layers for our KM wedding cake:

strawberry grand marnier - I think we've been to 6 weddings with this cake :)
    bailey cream
    lemon citron
    tiramasu
    carrot cake

you can not go wrong with any of them - seriously their tasting was a meal for us - go hungry! and remember that if you do different flavors for each layer, your guests will be eating a different flavor at each table - I loved this idea but some brides don't.

We are having Strawberry Grand Marnier and the Lemon Citron.  Both were DELICIOUS!  I think the tiramisou is really good too, though we didn't get to try it.

Our favorite was the chocolate with oreo mousse. Then the tiramasu. I loved the taste of the Strawberry Grand Marnier without the strawberries. I don't like them so I pick them out (which is fine by me) but my FI thought it was stupid to pick a layer when you have to pick out the major part of it.

We had Strawberry Grand Marnier, 2 layers of tiramisu, and the topper was carrot cake (6 month til I get to eat it!).

We also had a small gluten free chocolate decadence cake for my husband - yum!

I was underwhelmed by KM's chocolate cakes-- I found them dry (third layer of our cake was chocoloate with cookies nad cream frosting.  Dh liked it because it reminded him of HoHo's.

Our two bottom layers, though, were delicious.  I am a huge carrot cake fan, so both the bottom layer (and the top, saved for our anniversary) were carrot.  They're able to do a legitimate, smooth, non-gritty cream cheese frosting in that layer even though the cake is frosted in butter cream.  Next layer was the strawberry Grand Marinier with fresh strawberries.  As others have mentioned, this was great.  Cake in both of these two layers was moist and the texture on the carrot cake was great-- and I'm picky.

We went with the mango on the bottom, the chocolate with the oreo mousse in the middle and the carrot cake on the top.  Neither my fiance or I are carrot cake fans but my father is and I want him to have something that he'll like.  :)

We had Strawberry Grand Mariner (bottom), Black Forest Chocolate (middle), and the Lemon Citron (my fav! Top) for our cake. We also LOVED the carrot cake, but thought it might be too heavy for the wedding - so I surprised FI with a groom's cake at the RD made of it - it had a camping motif, he loved it!

If you're getting a cake from Konditor Meister I highly recommend you get the daily deal coupon.  You pay $150 and get a $300 gift certificate.  The catch is that it needs enough participants inorder for the deal to go through.  Right now it's at 73% full but it's ending soon.  I bought my coupon so i'm hoping others do so i can take advange of the deal too ... Laughing

if you go to http://deals.weddingchannel.com you can see the deal

We went with the carrot cake - Most amazing carrot cake I have ever had!

We had red velvet with white buttercream filling (instead of the typical cream cheese frosting) and gold cake with raspberry buttercream filling.  Gold Cake and raspberry filling was very light - perfect for a summer wedding.
