Precious Memories in Malden

I have not found my dress yet but just had to post about a great experience I had at Precious Memories in Malden. I ended up going to my appointment alone because my friend got called into work last minute. The women at this bridal shop were very helpful and quickly made me forget I was shopping by myself. There was no other girls trying on dresses so I had two consultants helping me and the owner of the shop even came over to check on the appointment ( she also spent a good 20+ minutes answering questions for me at the end of the appointment).  I have been to a few other bridal shops and this was by far my best experience. I am planning on bringing my MOH and another friend back next week to see if I can find "the one". Has anyone else gotten their dress from this shop?

I'm so glad to hear you had a great experience at this shop b/c I am also going to look at this store...I have e-mailed them a few times and they have been very responsive and helpful.

How was there overall dress selection, price range, etc?  Did you see any dresses that you liked and may consider trying on again for your MOH and other friend?  How big is the actual store?  Do they have a lot of dressing rooms?  sorry for all the questions :-)

They had a great selection of Casablanca and Maggie Sottero gowns. I think they had one or two other designers too. The dresses are arranged by designer so if you have one in mind you can find what you want quickly.

They have gown pictures on their website that closely matches what I saw in the store so take a look at the gallery and the list they have for Maggie gowns. The image gallery is mostly Casablanca. For Maggie they have a list of the dress names.

The prices were $900- $1200 for the Maggie and Casablanca gowns I was looking at.

The store is a decent size - bigger than you might think. They have a big selection of bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses too. The decor is dated but they have been there for a while (comforting to know!).

As for dressing rooms, it looks like they could accomodate 2 brides at once in the bridal gown area. They have separate rooms for the bridesmaids.  I think Saturday's are the only day you would find it really packed. I went on a Thursday night and was the only one there during my appointmet time (4:30 - 6:00).

Also note that they will help you in to the gown. Not every store will do this.

I had an appointment with another bridal place next week in NH that I am cancelling because I think I am going to buy my dress from Precious Memories. My venue is in New Hampshire and I am tired of driving an hour each way to meet with vendors!!  The 10-minute commute to Malden for my fittings will be wonderfu!  I do have a few favorites I am excited to show my MOH and friend next week.

I would love to hear from any girls who bought their dresses here. Its always helpful to get reassurance from others that the service level is consistent throughout the process of buying and altering the gown!!

I did not get my dress here...wish I discovered the place before I bought mine.  But, I did get my bridesmaids dresses here. I also had my dress for my friends wedding altered there and i'm having my dress altered there.  So far my experience has been FANTASTIC.  My bridesmaids and me have been in no less than 3-4 times trying on dresses.  Each time they were so nice and helpful.  My sheet was so full of choices they had added and changed.  When I finally gave my girls the go ahead to order the dress someone from the store emailed me immediately (I know when the last girl ordered and it was less than 24 hours later that I received an email from the store to let me know it was all set and when to expect them in.  When I came in to have my dress altered they were so nice.  (They didn't have to be sooo nice, it was like a 30 dollar alteration and I hadn't mentioned a word about being a customer for the bridesmaids dresses for my wedding because I wanted to see how they treated me without knowing).  But they still treated me fantastic.  The woman offered to find me a bag for all my stuff that I needed for the alteration.  Later after telling them that I was already a customer I told them I needed to buy a swatch to take to get the tuxedos.  She immediately went to a draw and cut off two swatches and told me to send one to my florist too!  David's bridal charges like 5 dollars for a stupid swatch.
Sorry this was sooo long. I really do love this place!

I got my dress at Precious Memories and I also brought my BMs to get their dresses there as well (they got a dsicount since i got my dress there). I have loved working with them so far, they have been great. My consultant and the owner are two of the nicest people I have met so far in my wedding planning journey. Even when there is a shop full of people trying on dresses they talk to you like you are the only one there. I can't wait to work wth them more when my dress comes in!

Personall y I think there prices are fantastic! I tried on 6 dresses while I was there (buying the 4th dress I tried on) and none of them were over $900. The BM dresses are priced pretty well too. Before the discount they got, the dress my girls chose was about $180. When my last BM went in to order her dress, I got a phone call from them almost immediately after she left the store telling me that all the dress had been orded and when they should be in.

One thing that I really liked about this store is that if you plan on getting your alterations done by them, they will hold your dress there so that you don't have to keep lugging it each time you go.

I didn't get my dress there, but went in last week for alterations. They are super friendly and easy to work with. My mom ended up ordering her dress from them. I am basically redesigning my entire dress with crystals and pearls and they have been so accommodating! I say it's a great find!

I just bought my dress there during their Sample Sale. I got a Casablanca priced at $1020 for $400. Not only did I get a fantastic deal but the consultants were wonderful. Even though it was a sample sale, the owner, various consultants, and the woman who does the alterations all worked with me. I plan to go back there to get the bridesmaid dresses. Good luck!
