I got married this past weekend, and everything went perfectly. Here are reviews of some of my vendors.
Venue: Willowdale Estate, Topsfield, MA
I cannot say enough good things about Willowdale. Everyone that I dealt with there was amazing and so helpful! My coordinator Nichole was incredible. She was amazing, making sure the timeline was perfect, telling us when to make table visits, making sure we actually ate dinner, and making sure we had everything we needed. She even got me an orange juice when I started feeling light headed (forgot to eat enough while getting ready!) without me even asking. The food was incredible and the decor was stunning; all night, everyone was raving about how great everything was. They made sure everything went smoothly, and I literally had no stress on my wedding day.
DJ: Greg from Curtis Knight Entertainment. Greg was terrific--extremely helpful and personal. He played a perfect set list during dinner and a perfect set list during dancing. The dance floor was full all night. Everyone at CKE was a pleasure to work with.
Photographers: Benoit & McCarthy. We had Gabby and her assistant John. Gabby was intense (in a good way) and definitely a perfectionist. She knew exactly was she was going for. At one point, she was laying on the cold, damp ground to get a good shot. John was really personable and friendly. They were a great balance, and they didn't pull us from dinner and dancing too much for photos. I can't wait to see what the pictures look like, but they were great to work with!
Flowers: Flowers by Darlene, Salem, MA. For flowers, we only had centerpieces, bouquets and tossing petals. The centerpieces were simple but came out nicely. The bouquets were beautiful. The only (extremely minor) complaint I had would be that one of the BM bouquets were not wrapped in ribbon; it came with just tape. It wasn't noticeable because all the bouquets were wrapped in ivory ribbon and the tape was white, but I think I would have been more bothered if the bouquet ribbons were a different color. However, everything looked beautiful and the flowers were quite reasonably priced.
Photobooth: Classic Photographers Photobooth. The photobooth was a big hit! We got a really good deal on the photobooth, so I have no complaints. We got a free guestbook out of it, which was awesome. They also came with props which were fun.
Alterations: Alterations by Rosa, Salem, MA. Rosa was incredible. She is so sweet, and she really loves what she does. My dress required kind of extensive work (it was all lace and tulle, and the lace bodice and sleeves had to be entirely re-worked), but she made it look like it was literally made for me. It was perfect!
