Boston Harbor Hotel

I am considering a wedding here. No open bar deals...pay per consumption.

I would never have guests pay at my house...why would I have them pay at the most important day in my life!!! Great view...but should I consider my guests first?

Are you sure that "pay by consumption" doesn't mean that you pay afterwards for the amount actually consumed, rather than allotting a certain dollar amount per guest?  I don't think it means "cash bar."

I know for a fact that the Boston Harbor Hotel doesn't even ALLOW cash bars.  "Pay by consumption" simply means that a tab is kept by the bartender and you have a credit card on file that is charged at the end of the night.

pay by consumption means YOU pay at the end for what people drink.  it is much better that way.  when there is a package you pay so much for each person if they drink or not or if they have one drink or 5 drinks.  pay as you go is much better.  i mean do you think that your 70+ relatives will drink as much as your college friends?  probably not.

As I understand the proposal, the host has to pay for "all" drinks.

What has this cost BHH brides in the past?
