publick house in sturbridge

has anyone been to or know anyone who held their wedding at the publick house in sturbridge? We are 99% sure this is going to be our venue and the people were really nice but I wanted to get some outside feedback on how they actually handled the wedding day. I've went to one venue and loved it but had had many people tell me how horrible the people were ot them on the actual day of the wedding - and these were different weddings!

I had my wedding there and it was wonderful.  I thought the staff was great.  Yeah, there were a couple things that I side-eyed at my reception, but I'm an extremely picky person anyway.  Honestly, they were minor in grand scheme. 

- The staff didn't set aside hors d'oeuvres for H and I.  We married at the Federated Church, had pics taken, and then met up with our BP and parents in the library room before the intros  lineup.  Our BP and parents ate all the hors d'ouvres that were set out except for one piece of chicken.  Since our banquet manager met us at the car with our requested cocktails, I figured they would have set aside a little plate for us?  We were starving!

- We order 120 favors for our 102 guests.  Never received the left over favors.  Honestly, I didn't even ask for them, but I figured that they would have brought them out when they started packing things up.  No biggie.

I think our wedding went rather smoothly if that was all I could think to b!tch about.  I thought Laura and Lisa at the PH were very helpful and quick to answer emails.  Also, I had an issue with a potential horse and carriage and Lisa helped me deal with that vendor.  They even helped calm my nerves since our wedding was on the heels of last year's freak Halloween snow storm.  Lisa told me they held weddings that weekend on generator power!

I would highly suggest the PH.  In fact, our best man and his fiance are considering booking their wedding there.

We just had our wedding at The Publick House on July 6th in the Garden Tent.  I would highly recommend them!  We have gotten hundreds of compliments  on how beautiful the night was.

The staff at PH were amazing.  From the planning to the day of and day after they were nothing but accomodating.  Laura, Cathy, Lisa, and Shauna quickly answered all emails and phone calls and met with us several times to work out details.  They even assembled all of our centerpieces based on a photo of what we wanted them to look like. 

The day of Jen and Jenna were truly amazing!  They even gave my husband extra of each dinner and a slice of each flavor of cake because he wanted to try everything!  Jen was so nice and kept everything running smoothly and Jenna was there for anything and everything we needed. 

The next morning they had stored everything for us and were helpful in loading cars.  Their breakfast was also delicious!! 

Overall our guests had a wonderful time and so did we and I would highly suggest having a wedding at the Publick House!!
