Spray tan question

Who has gotten married and did so on their wedding day? I am possibly thinking of doing this a little bit. My only worry is sweat making it rub off on the gown. I was thinking I can try it out next weekend for my engagement party but it looks like its gonna be sweltering and my dress has some white and I dont want it to bleed onto it. Does that happen????? I know the ones that are lotion in the stores do.

I know "Mocknine" had "The Tanning Lady" do her tan. I asked her to send me the info, but I never got it done.

    But here is the info:

if you get airbrush tan at a spa and not the fake makeup tan there's no worry about it rubbing off. they spray on a chemical that causes your skin to create melanin which is what makes you tan. so after the set time (6 hours) you take a shower to wash off the chemical. the tan is your skin, not a lotion or makeup so there's nothing to rub off or bleed.

i get mine done at debra bader. just be sure to either exfoliate before you go or get a full body exfoliation done.

I've been debating doing this because my skin is not exactly tanned, but a pinkish from being in the sun so much this summer. I have a fairly distinc line from tanktops, though I'm debating trying to even it out myself with some tube tops.

So glad someone asked this.  I am all farmer tan from t-shirts and v-necks.  I need to do something to even out, but am a sweater and didn't want my dress to get dirty.  I will look into the spray tan option.  Anyone know a place in the city?

I think you should definitely get it done!

I used Patti Glass.  She lives in Mahopac- will come to you, or she also does it out of the Bronze Bar(?) too.

I do not recommend doing it the day of or even the day before.  You should do it 2 days before the event- here's why.  You do have a little "waiting" period for the spray to settle, and you don't want to rub off on anything during that time.  Also, I always think that the very next day I look too tan, but by the 2nd day I look perfect!  It is a nice color without looking fake.

I even got DH to do it for the wedding too (well, he only had to do his face, neck and arms).

You can email her with question or to set up an appointment-  She is super sweet, you'll love her!! pattig4981@gmail.com

I also had Patti Glass do my spray tan (we went to high school together).  She is a sweetheart.  My major concern was that I am really pale and didnt know how I would like it but wanted it done before my engagement pics. I agree with Mockjine.  I had my engagement pictures on a Wednesday (even though it ended up being canceled) and got it done the Sunday before.  I really loved it and everyone including my dermatologist said it looked natural!
